Hello, World
Wind extinguishes a candle and energizes fire. Likewise with randomness, uncertainty, chaos: you want to use them, not hide from them. You want to be the fire and wish for the wind.

Short version: I was part of a layoff at Trustly. Longer version — I'm fine, and I suddenly have time on my hands, so I'm starting this blog to write about what I'm thinking and building while I figure out what's next.
What happened
Trustly went through a round of layoffs, and my role was one of the ones cut. It wasn't personal, it wasn't performance-related, it's just the timing I landed in. I've had a few days to sit with it, and mostly what I feel is: okay, now what.
"Now what" turns out to include a lot of free time, a backlog of ideas I never got to, and no excuse left not to write them down.
Why this blog
I've wanted a place to think in public for a while — not a highlight reel, just notes on the things I'm actually working on: code, tools, half-formed opinions about software, maybe some of the job search along the way. This post is the introduction. The posts that follow are the actual content.
If you're reading this because you know me, hi. If you're reading this because you're hiring, also hi — my inbox is open.
What's next
I don't have a fixed schedule or topic list. I'm going to write about whatever I'm building or learning, and see where it goes. Thanks for reading.
